Membership and Services

If you want to become a member of LE MAT you simply have to contact us and tell us about your plans and your eventual experience in social entrepreneurship. Then we will get back to you.

Maybe in your country there is already an active national network (as LE MAT SWEDEN or LE MAT ITALY) and you can join their efforts, or maybe we can support you in setting up a network in your country. We will decide together which way to proceed. Remember! - Networking strengthens small initiatives.

But Le Mat is also a specialized development agency for social hoteliers or those that want a Le Mat Hotel in their town (as Majors or Citizens, social entrepreneurs or social workers, unemployed persons, whoever!).

We will support you in your entrepreneurial action step by step:
- how to find your hotel, hostel or B&B
- how to adapt the structure to your ideas
- how to realise your business plan
- how to find the right team
- how to train the team
- how to promote your Hotel or initiative
- how to find the money
- or at least – if you already are social hoteliers – how to increase the quality and the incomes.

We work for the development of social and cooperative enterprises as the means of creating opportunities for employment and social change for everyone and promote the trademark Le Mat - the hotel franchising of social entrepreneurs for the establishment of a chain of hotels run in franchising by social enterprises.

Our activities include:

• orientation, training and consultation for the creation of cooperatives and social enterprises;
• accompaniment and technical assistance in the start up and development of cooperative and social enterprises, training, consultation and accompaniment for finding;
• employment, vocational growth and promotion of value, and the independence of persons with a history of disability, mental illness or social deprivation and distress;
• entrepreneurial training and consultation;
• promotion of Le Mat - the hotel franchising of the social enterprise chain and technical assistance for the starting up and running of hotels;
• research, studies, designing and perfection of models and paths aimed at the employment and vocational growth of persons who are the subject of discrimination and/or exclusion from the labour market;
• promotion of and participation to partnerships for access to programmes and projects financed by the European Social Fund and other sources, with a view to achieving the associative objectives.

These activities are pursued through collaboration with public, private and social organisations. Le Mat can call upon the skills of its own members and a network of external consultants.

Our working method envisages the active participation of users and clients. The learning-by-doing technique is applied and recipients are actively involved in the construction of products, instruments and documents.

You can also ask for our services without a membership.
You will be contacted and receive a written proposal. If possible we will visit you and together we will design your individual startup or specialized programme.
